Website updates

After a long period of time getting things organised and working elsewhere on other people's projects, I am finally allowing myself to spend some time on my own websites.

I am not only updating my main site but also currently spending quite a bit of time setting up the final details of my own arts website which will be launched shortly. If you are an artist, arts professional, or a person who has an interest in the arts including running an arts empathetic business, then please get in touch. For the first few volunteers I am offering one year free subscription in exchange for being a guinea pig and testing the site. If you would like to know more please get in touch.

The other site that I am working on is about Inspirations and Aspirations - if you want to know more about this one too then it is best to register on the site and I will send you news in my newsletter as and when things happen.

I am currently researching and re-writing my legal information - if you would like to be kept up to date about this then, again it is best to register on the site and I will let you know when it has been published.

If you want to see some of the latest work that I have been doing then you can go to Amanda Hamilton's art website  where you can find out about her latest additions to her collection of giclee prints. And .... if you are thinking of visiting Spain then you can find out about her luxury bed and breakfast in Cordoba by going to her holiday home website - Casa La Celada.

Film Review of “Morris: A Life with Bells On” – The funniest film I’ve seen in years.

Morris: A Life with Bells On is said to be the next sleeper hit - but only time will tell whether it will achieve this heady domain of acclaim and success. The film has been described as a mockumentary following the life of one rebel Morris dancer Derecq Twist. Beset by prim traditionalists it tells the story of this one man's struggle to drag, kick and cajole an ancient practice into the 21st Century, in the nicest possible way, of course. If the interest on the internet is anything to go by, this one is destined to be screened worldwide by popular demand just so long as at least one distribution company takes notice.

We have been lucky - despite not being on general release yet, Morris: A Life with Bells On came to a hall near us and we had the added promise of a demonstration of Morris Dancing from the Isca Morris men. Time to organise a horde of willing victims and enjoy a night out - get out my note book and write an official film review of "Morris: A Life with Bells On".

I'm fat and ugly and nobody loves me!

I don't subscribe to this view actually, but it is amazing how many women who, when they come to see us to buy clothes, will reveal that they embrace at least one of these beliefs. The inherent lack of self worth becomes evident very rapidly but when we are instrumental in seeing a transformation of these views, it is very satisfying indeed. It is a real pleasure witnessing these women looking at themselves in awe as they gaze at their reflection wearing an outfit that not only makes them look slim but absolutely gorgeous as well. And as for those that think their nearest and dearest don't love them? We say - teach 'em or ditch 'em! Everyone one of us deserves to be a part of a supportive group of friends and family to love and celebrate who and what we are. And what has this got to do with Enterprising Women? Well ….. everything actually!

"The only cure is to help ourselves feel secure within ourselves, so that we eventually come to see that no matter what we do, we will not cast ourselves out of our own hearts."
